Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

Level 243 is a rotation puzzle. The picture shows the turning point on the right end and where the strip ends up. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Don’t stop halfway.
Drag the top-left corner (1) down in an arc around the right end until the strip points straight down.
Solution
  1. Grab the cornerPut your finger on the top-left corner of the yellow strip.
  2. Swing it downDrag down and round. The strip turns on its right end and unfolds as it swings.
  3. All the wayKeep going until it points straight down from its right end.
Why it worksThe strip is paper folded many times. Pulling from its corner opens it up, and it only counts once it’s fully open.
