Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

What you see
“destroy the boxes.” with two blue balls (one locked in a thin cage in the top-left), and two red boxes.

Level 255 is a tilt puzzle. The picture shows the route: free the caged ball, then hit each box. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Free the caged ball (1), then use the balls to hit each box (2 and 3).
Solution
  1. Tilt to moveTilt your phone to roll the free ball at the bottom right.
  2. Free the other ballRoll the free ball into the cage in the top-left corner to release the second ball.
  3. Smash the boxesUse both balls to hit the red boxes until they’re both destroyed.
Why it worksOnly one ball can move at first, so it has to free the other before you can hit both boxes. Two balls together break the boxes.
