Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

Solution
  1. Follow the wordsThe words on screen are the order to stop the shapes in.
  2. Stop the star firstTap the star, then the crescent, then the box.
  3. Ball lastFinish by tapping the ball. A tap on any panel stops its progress.
Why it worksThe title is the answer in disguise: star, crescent, box, ball. They have to be stopped in exactly that order, which isn’t the order they’re standing in.
