Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

Level 56 is a jigsaw where the finished picture is a number. The picture shows how the pieces fit. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Solution
  1. Start with the small squareThe small square is the one you can drag. Pick it up.
  2. Join the piecesBring it up against the bigger pieces so that they attach.
  3. Make a ringPut the three pieces together as a closed ring, like the number 0.
Why it worksA zero is a closed loop, and the three pieces fit together exactly into one. The hooked piece closes the top and right side, the L closes the left and bottom, and the small square fills the last corner.
