About the game

Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

Level 33 is a colouring puzzle with one strict rule. The solution video shows the colour for every area. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

The colours have a rule about who can sit next to whom.

Start with the area in the middle, then work outwards.
Solution
  1. Middle is blueDrag a blue ball onto the middle area of the shape.
  2. Diagonals are yellowDrag yellow onto every area that touches the middle only at a corner.
  3. Pluses are violetDrag violet onto the four areas above, below, left and right of the middle.
Why it worksNeighbouring areas can’t share a colour. Blue in the middle, yellow on the diagonals and violet on the plus areas is the only pattern that never puts two of the same colour side by side. In the video the shape is drawn as a simple grid, and your screen may look a little different.
