Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

What you see

Solution
  1. ListenTurn your volume up. Tap each small coloured square to hear how many balls of that colour the box wants.
  2. First orderDrag 1 blue ball and 3 pink balls into the box. (The hints call the pink balls red.)
  3. Second orderThen drag 4 teal balls into the box.
Why it worksThe box tells you what it wants through sound, not on screen. Once you’ve heard the numbers, it’s just a matter of dropping in the right balls.
