What you see
“point towards North.”
A round compass with N, E, S and W around the edge, and three blue triangles in the middle pointing in different directions.

Level 38 is one of the trickier early puzzles, because the obvious answer is blocked. The solution video shows the way round it. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Hints (no spoilers)
Hint 1Tap to reveal
Try making the triangles point up. What happens?
Hint 2Tap to reveal
The letters around the edge aren’t fixed in place.
Solution
  1. Move NorthThe triangles can never point straight up, so drag the “N” onto the “E” to swap them. North is now on the right.
  2. Turn the trianglesTap each triangle to turn it until it points at the new N on the right.
  3. All pointing NorthOnce all three point at N, you’re done.
Why it worksThe triangles can’t point upwards, where N starts. Moving N somewhere they can point is the real trick.
