Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

Level 14 is all about quick reactions, and the rule has a loophole that’s easy to miss. The solution video shows what to tap and when to stop. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Solution
  1. Stop the escapeWhenever a red ball is about to leave the screen, tap it. It turns around and heads back in.
  2. Wait for orangeKeep them on screen until they change from red to orange.
  3. Let them goOrange balls aren’t red any more, so you can let them fly off the screen.
Why it worksThe rule only covers red balls. Once a ball has turned orange it no longer counts, so letting it leave is fine.
