Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

What you see
“put the ball at the junction.” with five red boxes lying at different angles around the screen and one red ball at the right.

Level 262 is a geometry puzzle. The picture shows the five lines and the ball on the point where they meet. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Extend each box’s long side.

You have to let go of the ball to test it.
Drag the ball to where the five dashed lines cross (1) and let go.
Solution
  1. What the junction isThe junction is the one point all the boxes face towards.
  2. Draw imaginary linesPicture a line running along the long side of each box, out in both directions.
  3. Where they meetThe lines all cross near the middle of the screen. Drag the ball there and let go. It only checks when you release your finger.
Why it worksFive lines can only meet at one point, and the boxes were placed so that they all do. The dashed lines in the picture show it.
