Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

Level 178 is a connect-the-dots puzzle. The picture shows the finished chain; the white piece is the one from the corner circle. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Connect the balls in number order.

One of the pieces is tucked away inside the circle in the corner.
Join I to II, II to III, then III to IV. The white piece comes from the circle in the top right.
Solution
  1. Link I to IIDrag line pieces to join ball I to ball II.
  2. Link II to IIIUse the next piece to join ball II to ball III.
  3. Finish with the small pieceThe pieces on screen come up short between III and IV. Take the small line out of the circle in the top right and use it to close that last gap.
Why it worksThe balls have to be connected in number order, one to four, in a single chain. There are just enough pieces if you remember the tiny one hidden in the top-right circle.
