Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

What you see
“point one east and the other west.” with a bar through a small centre ball, and a triangle on each end pointing the same way.

Level 149 is a rotation puzzle. The picture shows the two triangles pointing in opposite directions. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

One triangle points east (right), the other west (left).
Solution
  1. Pull one outRotate the bar so one triangle points left or right, then drag that triangle off the bar.
  2. Spin the barHold the centre and rotate the bar half a turn (180 degrees).
  3. Pull the other outNow the second triangle points the opposite way. Drag it off too.
Why it worksWhile both triangles sit on the bar they always point the same way. Taking one off first, then turning the bar, lets the second face the other direction.
