Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

What you see

Level 240 is a reverse maze. The picture shows the maze from the game file and the route out. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Moving left is the same as the ball moving right.
The dotted line is the route through the maze to the gap in the bottom wall. Move the maze the opposite way.
Solution
  1. The ball won’t moveDragging the ball does nothing. Drag the maze instead; the ball stays still while the walls slide past it.
  2. Think backwardsTo send the ball up, drag the maze down. To send it right, drag the maze left.
  3. The way outThe dotted line is the ball’s route: up, right, down, right, up, left, up, right along the top, down, right, down, left, and out through the gap in the bottom wall.
Why it worksMoving the maze past a still ball is the same as moving the ball through a still maze. You just have to think of the directions backwards.
