Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

What you see
“blue goes first, yellow comes after it.” above a walled maze with a yellow, a red and a blue ball, and three coloured gates: yellow, red and blue.

Level 236 is a tilt maze. The picture shows the gates and the order: blue, then yellow, then red. The routes are up to you. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

The order of the gates matters.
Rough routes: blue round the bottom into its gate (1), yellow straight right (2), red up, across and up into the top-right gate (3). All balls roll together, so tilt gently.
Solution
  1. Tilt to rollTilt your phone to roll the balls around the maze. All three roll at once.
  2. Blue first, then yellowRoll the blue ball through the blue gate before anything else. Then roll the yellow ball through the yellow gate.
  3. Red lastFinish by rolling the red ball through the red gate.
Why it worksEvery ball moves whenever you tilt, so the hard part is getting one ball through its gate without another one slipping through its own gate too early.
