Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

What you see

Level 218 is a physics puzzle. The picture shows the box lifted above a ball; the faded box is where it started. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Only one shape can be picked up.

Height matters.
Lift the box high above a ball (1) and let go so it falls on it (2). Repeat for the second ball.
Solution
  1. Only the box movesYou can pick up the box and drag it. The balls stay put.
  2. Lift it highDrag the box up and over a ball. It falls as soon as you let go.
  3. Drop itLet go from high enough and it smashes the ball. Do the same for the other ball.
Why it worksThe box is heavy and falls when released. From a low height it just bounces off, so the drop has to start from well above the ball.
