Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

Level 167 is a route-planning puzzle. The picture shows the five blocks in place and the route the triangle takes. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

Set everything up before you tap the triangle.
Blocks in place. The dotted line is the triangle’s route: red, green, blue, yellow. Tap the triangle (1).
Solution
  1. Blocks steer the triangleThe triangle runs straight along the lines. When a block or the end of a line is in front of it, it turns onto the only open line.
  2. Place the five blocksOne on the line under the yellow ball, one on the bottom-right line, one on the top-left line, one on the upper left side line, and one on the line under the green ball.
  3. LaunchTap the triangle. It goes up, turns left along the bottom, up the left side to red, right to green, up to blue, left along the top, and down to yellow.
Why it worksThe triangle only changes direction at blocks, so the blocks decide its route. Placing them in those five spots makes it visit the balls in the right order.
