Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.

To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

Level 72 has a compliment hidden in some broken letters. The picture shows how the message looks when it’s fixed. Want to solve it yourself? Open the hints one at a time first.

The letters are the right ones, just wrongly turned.

Only the top half of each letter moves.
This is how the finished message looks.
Solution
  1. Look at the lettersThe tops of some letters are turned the wrong way, so the words look wrong.
  2. Tap the topsTap the upper half of each broken letter to rotate it.
  3. Read the messageKeep going until the three lines read: YOU, THE, BEST.
Why it worksThe letters are all there, but the top half of each one has been turned. Tapping the top half rotates it back into place. The finished message is “YOU THE BEST”.
