So:
the horizontal length of AB is 4 and 2/3. that means the midpoint will be at a horizontal distance of 2 and 1/3 from A and from B. If you create a line with a slope 3/1 or -3/1(in this case), the line will intersect the grid at 1/3 intervals. so you create two of these lines and connect the correct interval so that it is a distance of 2 and 1/3 from the end points.
I am sure there is a more mathy way to explain but that’s the jist.
