About Everyday Grids Gems
Everyday Grids is a relaxing daily logic-puzzle game by Fanatee with seven different grids: Zip, Gems, Lotus, Panda, Libra, Sums and Hashi. Everyday Grids Gems is one of them. Split the grid into rectangles (gems). Each gem holds exactly one number, and that number is its size in cells. Every level can be solved with pure logic, with no guessing and no luck, and a brand-new Normal and Hard Gems puzzle is released every day. The game is free to download on Android and iPhone.

Everyday Grids Gems Normal Answer, Aug 17, 2025
9×9 grid- 0/21Every number needs one rectangle of exactly that many cells, and rectangles can't overlap or contain two numbers. Tap Start to follow all 21 logical steps, no guessing.
- 1/21Draw a 2 wide × 5 tall rectangle for the 10 at R5C8 . Of the 14 rectangles of area 10 that could hold it, only this one still works, of the others, 13 contain another number.
- 2/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R1C6, so it must belong to the 6 at R1C6 . That narrows it to 7 possible shapes.
- 3/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R3C4, R4C4, so they all must belong to the 12 at R4C4 . That narrows it to 9 possible shapes.
- 4/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R5C1, so it must belong to the 5 at R5C1 . That narrows it to 5 possible shapes.
- 5/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R5C3, so it must belong to the 10 at R5C3 . That narrows it to 2 possible shapes.
- 6/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R5C7, so it must belong to the 9 at R5C7 . That narrows it to 3 possible shapes.
- 7/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R6C4, so it must belong to the 3 at R6C4 . That narrows it to 5 possible shapes.
- 8/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R6C8, R6C9, so they all must belong to the 8 at R6C8 . That leaves it only one possible shape.
- 9/21Draw a 2 wide × 4 tall rectangle for the 8 at R6C8 . Of the 16 rectangles of area 8 that could hold it, only this one still works, of the others, 8 contain another number, 6 overlap a finished rectangle, 1 misses cells this number must cover.
- 10/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R7C2, R8C2, R9C2, so they all must belong to the 6 at R7C2 . That narrows it to 3 possible shapes.
- 11/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R6C1, so it must belong to the 5 at R5C1 . That narrows it to 4 possible shapes.
- 12/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R1C1, so it must belong to the 6 at R1C6 . That leaves it only one possible shape.
- 13/21Draw a 6 wide × 1 tall rectangle for the 6 at R1C6 . Of the 10 rectangles of area 6 that could hold it, only this one still works, of the others, 6 miss cells this number must cover, 3 overlap a finished rectangle.
- 14/21Draw a 2 wide × 5 tall rectangle for the 10 at R5C3 . Of the 16 rectangles of area 10 that could hold it, only this one still works, of the others, 11 contain another number, 2 overlap a finished rectangle, 2 overlap cells claimed by another number.
- 15/21No other number has a rectangle that can cover R1C7, so it must belong to the 9 at R5C7 . That leaves it only one possible shape.
- 16/21Draw a 1 wide × 9 tall rectangle for the 9 at R5C7 . Of the 11 rectangles of area 9 that could hold it, only this one still works, of the others, 4 contain another number, 2 miss cells this number must cover, 4 overlap a finished rectangle.
- 17/21Draw a 3 wide × 4 tall rectangle for the 12 at R4C4 . Of the 40 rectangles of area 12 that could hold it, only this one still works, of the others, 34 overlap a finished rectangle, 5 contain another number.
- 18/21Draw a 4 wide × 3 tall rectangle for the 12 at R7C6 . Of the 35 rectangles of area 12 that could hold it, only this one still works, of the others, 1 overlaps cells already claimed by another number, 26 overlap a finished rectangle, 7 contain another number.
- 19/21Draw a 3 wide × 1 tall rectangle for the 3 at R6C4 . Of the 6 rectangles of area 3 that could hold it, only this one still works, of the others, 4 overlap a finished rectangle, 1 contains another number.

How to Solve Everyday Grids Gems: Quick Tips
- Begin with numbers that fit only one rectangle shape, often big numbers in tight spaces.
- Look for empty cells that only one number can reach; they must belong to that number.
- Cells shared by every possible shape of a number always belong to it, even before you know the exact shape.
- A 1 is already complete, and a 2 can only go in a straight pair.
