Game is Hard is a free puzzle game by Unico Studio for Android and iPhone. Every level looks simple, just a short line of text and a few shapes, but the obvious move almost never works.
To win you might need to tilt your phone, shake it, turn the volume up, or read the question very literally. There are 300 levels, a Master Challenge mode with fresh twists on the hardest puzzles, and it plays offline in 20 languages.

Clue boxes: 3 and 5 green, 2 and 4 red. Your grid’s numbers will vary.
Solution
- Read the clue boxesThe coloured boxes at the bottom say how many squares are green and how many are red.
- Paint by numberTap a number to change the colour of every square that shows it. Paint the 3s and the 5s green.
- Reds and bluesPaint the 2s and 4s red. Leave the rest as blue.
Why it worksEvery number is one colour. The boxes at the bottom show that three numbers are green and two are red, and the steps give which is which.
